BHU-PMT (Main) exam 2015

Over 3,500 candidates appeared for BHU PMT-2015 (Main) examinations, which were held peacefully across various centres in the campus of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) on 17th June 2015.

It may be mentioned here that a total of 44,090 candidates had appeared in the BHU-PMT (Screening) Examination. There are a total of 84 MBBS seats at the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, which conducts PMT test every year.

As per reports of BHU-PMT Cell, a total of 3,623 candidates belonging to various categories were shortlisted to appear for BHU PMT-2015 (Main) Examinations after the declaration of PMT-2015 (Screening) Examination on May 21 this year. The screening test were held on May 16 this year. The list of successful candidates included as many as 2095 candidates in General category, 1157 (OBC Non-creamy layer category), 339 (SC category), 31 (ST category) and 05 (General-Physically Challenged category), 04 (OBC Non-creamy layer-PC category), 01 (SC-PC category) and 01 (ST-PC category).

Earlier, scenes of traffic congestion were witnessed across prominent crossings including Lanka and Cantt after the completion of the test. Strict security measures were made across the examination centres that included Old CHC, Social Science building, Law faculty, IT and Mahila Mahavidyalaya in the varsity campus.
